Wondering why we are talking about sleeping here? Adequate sleep is very important for weight management. Everyone needs six to eight hours of sleep. According to a recent study, too much of sleep or the lack of it can lead to weight gain.
Sleep is one of the most important aspects of your overall health and wellbeing, especially when it comes to managing your weight. In one 16-year study, it was shown that women who slept for less than five hours a night were significantly more likely to gain weight around their bellies than those who slept seven hours or more.
I’m pretty sure it’s accurate because I’ve had my bf measured by a trainer at my gym. I read your article and had bought caliper to do the skinfold myself but I was just doing something wrong cause the numbers I was getting were off. So I had the trainer do each test twice, with different tools. He did the tape measure, skinfold and InBody, and they were pretty much the same. The first test I had gone down to 15% (thanks to TLS) and then the second time I had him test me I was at 16%. Wasn’t a huge drop because I was starting from 18-19%. I actually did experience that a long time ago with the very low bf. My goal isn’t to go lower, I know it’s not practical or healthy, I just want “permanent great abs” and I just can’t seem to get the abs to “pop” and stay lean and tight year-round. It’s been my sticking point. My arms are getting nice muscle and definition. Legs and rear are getting there too, though a little slower. So overall, I can’t complain, loving the results, but these abs are driving me nuts.
If you want to burn belly fat, there is no better way to go about this than by simple, hard work in the form of good, old-fashioned exercise. Belly fat is a more colloquial name for what is really abdominal obesity, or in a more clinical sense, central obesity. When your body accumulates a certain amount of belly fat, the resulting effect is seen in a swelling waist size, and consequently, the need to buy larger-size pants. Since there is also a proven connection between the accumulation of belly fat and the morbidity involved with cardiovascular disease, you should really do everything in your power to burn off your central obesity before it becomes too much of an irreversible problem. Here are 3 exercises targeted to burn off your belly fat.
Although a lot of people think a thousand sit-ups or crunches a day will get rid of the flab, that’s not entirely true, Sedlock says. “Sit-ups aren’t going to get rid of your abdominal fat, per se,” she says. “Sit-ups strengthen the abdominal musculature.” So that means with enough sit-ups your tummy should have a better appearance, she says.
Yes, you need discipline and consistency to get the results you want. But let me tell you, the reason why so many people fail for so many years is that they are looking for a way to get results without doing any work. Listen, there are no miracle herbs or extracts you can take to achieve your goal automatically. The reason why we got results is that when we do these programs ourselves, we DO them. Period.

Juicing can help you boost your vegetable intake if you’re having trouble getting enough of them into your diet. By removing processed foods, you automatically cut out most of the refined sugars and carbs (grains) from your diet, along with a whole host of other health-harming chemicals and additives. If you opt for organic, you’ll also automatically avoid hazardous pesticides and herbicides, as well as genetically engineered ingredients
If you’re dehydrated, it can be hard to tell if you’re hungry or just thirsty. If you’re craving a mid-day snack, have a glass of water and wait a few minutes before reassessing how hungry you really are. Water also helps food move through your digestive system, lessening feelings of bloating. It’s a good idea to keep a water bottle with you throughout the day. Add in cucumber slices or fresh fruit to infuse flavor.
But then, he knew that this is more about helping other people rather than just earning money. So this program is priced at $27. And what’s even better is that it also comes with a 60-day money back guarantee. This is because he is very much confident about the program and that it really works.
Unfortunately you can’t pick and choose where you want weight to melt away, so instead of doing crunches, you need to do cardio to lose your overall body fat. While running, biking, and swimming are excellent ways to burn calories, incorporating high-intensity intervals has been proven to target stubborn belly fat. You can add 30- to 60-second speed bursts into your regular workout or try this 45-minute HIIT workout to shrink your belly.
Providing your body with a serving of whey protein before bed has a thermogenic effect, which boosts your metabolic rate and can help to support weight loss (8, 9). Because inadequate sleep has been linked to weight gain, Sleep Support & Renewal spray is part of the BBB to support a restful, complete night’s sleep (10).
I’m a female, am alittle above 5’7″, and weighed about 150 lbs when I started working out. I’ve been working out for about 2 years really hard now. I used to run 5 miles a day, then after about a year, slowly went down to 2 or 3 a day instead. But I run every day. If I’m not running, I’m lifting weights, on a stair-stepper, or on a stationary bike. I’m at the gym for around 2 hours a day and eat very clean. The first few months I started working out, I felt great about myself, but recently I feel myself falling back into worse moods. I’ve noticed these past 2 years, I’ve maintained my weight of 150, but I recently went to the doctors and turns out I now weigh 158 lbs. My belly feels like its getting bigger although I still go to the gym 6-7 days a week for 2 hours at a time. All I really seem to eat is big salads, soups, and turkey, and yogurt. I don’t know if I’m not eating the right foods, the right amounts of foods, or something’s wrong with my exercising habits. But honestly, any advice could help. Thanks for taking the time to read! have a great day.
I’m not new to lifting or proper nutrition, but I’ve been stuck fluctuating between 9-11% bf, and 175-185 pounds. Looking to drop those last few pounds keeping as much muscle as possible obviously. Decided to change things up a bit and give IF a try. Doing between 16-18 hours fasted 6-8 hours eating… Currently I end my fast for a small breakfast and preworkout shake – I feel like I wouldn’t be able to train with the same kind of intensity if I don’t eat anything at all.. Most articles I read suggest that waiting until after training would yield the best results.. Since there’s so much conflicting data out there I figure the best way to find out is just to try it for awhile – I’ve been plateaud for awhile so I really don’t have anything to lose..
Almonds, peanuts, walnuts, pistachios — at GH, we’re nuts about nuts! People who snack on nuts may have lower abdominal fat than those who munch on carb-based treats, according to a 2015 study in the Journal of the American Heart Association. Nuts are rich in monounsaturated fats, a heart-healthy (and more satisfying) pick than their grain-based counterparts.
I’m lost on one point. My lifestyle is pretty seditary except for my lifting routine. I like to walk outside, or on the treadmill if it’s cold, for about an hour a day because it helps my mood. Is it still ok to do that, adding in some HIIT twice a week…. Will I be going against my goals if I do? Because otherwise I just sit around all day. My time walking re-centers me.
As for 3, I’m 40 but no past pregnancies or loose skin. I quickly skimmed through your water retention article and I think that’ll definitely help. I certainly “blow up like a balloon” or at least it feels like it.
Liquid sugar is even worse in this regard. Liquid calories don’t get “registered” by the brain in the same way as solid calories, so when you drink sugar-sweetened beverages, you end up eating more total calories (9, 10).
Also, as mentioned earlier, spot reducing simply doesn’t work, so if you’re doing sit ups and little else, you’re not likely to see results. Besides being ineffective for weight loss, the traditional abdominal sit ups have been found to recruit and produce the least amount of muscle activity, which means it’s also ineffective for coaxing out that six pack.
I wonder if the cheat day actually hampers our progress. I don’t know why we need a cheat day anyway except to fulfill our cravings for junk food but it does seem to be counterproductive if you want fast results.
So, what do you do if you want to reduce your belly fat, but you’re not ready to sign up for hours of intense exercise? Start where you are and build from there. No one starts out doing high-intensity exercise. It takes time to build the strength, conditioning, and endurance. Start with what you can handle and build from there.
If you’re skeptical about this program, we don’t blame you. There are many fraudulent and subpar weight loss guides out there. However, we must admit that based on our research online, the Lean Belly Breakthrough seems to be legit and effective.
Even small changes to your diet can make a difference when you’re trying to lose weight, so don’t feel like you have to follow a strict diet or cut out entire food groups. Below are a few resources for simple ways you can cut calories:

About 50 percent of your body fat is located directly beneath the skin. Do you know where most of the rest of it is? Inside the muscles. Doing crunches will not get rid of this fat, and neither will the vibrating belt in the television ads.
In addition to HIIT, you’ll want to consider adding some strength training to program. Note that you can actually turn your strength training session into a high-intensity workout simply by slowing down your movements. Proper form is important, so to learn more about how to perform such exercises, please refer to my previous article, “Super-Slow Weight Training.”
Can you comment on Phoenix and forskolin? The study you reference in your write-up used a 250mg of 10% forskolin extract twice a day, which would equal 50mg- the dose in your product. However, your product does not list an extract percentage. Most forskolin products will show the dose and extract. Sabinsa provides 98%, 95%, 40%, 20%, and 10% standarized extracts of coleus forskohlii. I was curious what your extract percentage was and Karim from Legion responded that he had to contact the manufacturer because he was unsure. He said he heard back from the manufacturer and that you only use a 2% extract? If that’s true the dose in the product would be useless.
Stress makes your body produce cortisol, known as “the stress hormone,” which depletes lean muscle and makes your body hold on to fat in the abdominal region. It also enlarges your fat cells, allowing them to store more fat. One of the most important strategies for addressing elevated cortisol levels is to reduce stress in your life. My favorite technique for addressing day-to-day stress is the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which is the largest and most popular version of energy psychology.
